FAQ

Desk constants · same answers on every bond

How do I invest in this bond?+

Complete KYC, confirm the ticket with the desk (or self-serve when live), pay as per ICCL settlement instructions, and receive demat credit on T+ settlement.

What is settlement?+

Corporate and sovereign secondary trades on our desk settle on a T+1 cycle through ICCL (Indian Clearing Corporation Ltd) into your demat account.

Is the offer yield guaranteed?+

No. Offer yield is desk-indicative until the trade is confirmed - not an exchange last trade. After sign-in you also see Market YTM (street BEY) and Investor XIRR (dated cashflows); they are different measures.

What is Market YTM vs Investor XIRR?+

Market YTM is the street / periodic bond-equivalent style yield. Investor XIRR is the Excel-style return on actual cashflow dates (365-day year). ACT/365 cashflows follow desk Excel (IIFL-style); 30/360 is street / G-Sec style (RBI). Numbers can differ by convention.

Can I exit before maturity?+

Secondary liquidity varies by issue. The desk can quote a bid when available; early exit may be at a discount or premium to face value.

How is interest taxed?+

Most corporate bond interest is taxable at your slab; TDS may apply. G-Sec / certain sovereign instruments have different treatment - this is educational, not tax advice.

What is the minimum ticket?+

Shown on the bond as Minimum Investment (face × units). Larger tickets can be allocated by the desk.
